Does completing the assessment mean I qualify for TRT?
No. The questionnaire is informational. Treatment requires clinical assessment and may require lab testing.
Will I receive a testosterone prescription?
No prescription is guaranteed. A clinician determines whether any treatment is medically appropriate.
Do I need bloodwork?
A clinician may recommend bloodwork based on your symptoms, history and the care being considered.
Are 4 out of 10 Middle-Aged Men Really Low T?
Yes. Many studies show this. The most quoted one is the Hypogonadism in Males (HIM) study, published in The International Journal of Clinical Practice. The study evaluated men aged 45 and older visiting primary care practices and found that 38.7% met the criteria for low testosterone. It was from 2006.
Interestingly, studies show that men's testosterone goes down as they age, but also that men in every generation have lower testosterone (on average) than men before. So the numbers may now be even higher.
