FAQs
Our services are genuinely bespoke, not formulaic or cookie-cutter. We take the time to go through your testing and build the best plan for you as an individual, which is a very different experience from what you may have heard of elsewhere. We take care of you as a patient first and foremost. That does mean pricing is not one-size-fits-all; it depends on your plan. A call with our clinic concierge will clarify exactly where you stand.
Your symptoms tell you how you feel; your labs tell us whether treatment is medically appropriate. In combination, the two give a precise picture of whether TRT is right for you.
When TRT is followed correctly, it is generally considered very safe. Abuse or missing doses can lead to negative effects. In addition, present science says some people with low testosterone are not candidates due to risks of complications. We follow these guidelines. The human testosterone therapy has been studied for decades. There are numerous studies with varied results. We invite & recommend reading these studies.
This is a question we are asked often, and the honest answer is: it depends. In the short term, many people feel mild effects relatively quickly, within days or weeks. But the real prize is stability. Consistently proper testosterone levels create a long-term effect that builds gradually, and once it is there, it tends to stay.
Short answer: yes. You should never stop cold turkey, as with most medications, but you can stop with a step-by-step plan, guided by your doctor. If you think you may want to stop at some point, or if having children is in your future, that gets built into your bespoke plan from the start. There are multiple ways to approach treatment, including injections, creams, and supportive medications, and the approach can be chosen with coming off TRT in mind. That said, the vast majority of patients choose to stay on treatment, because low testosterone does not resolve on its own with time. Staying on it is what keeps the benefits coming, for life. And if there ever comes a time you wish to come off, we will guide you through that process.
